Etiquette Classes for Children

“Good manners will open doors that the best education cannot.” – Clarence Thomas

Our fun, interactive learning classes are based on the Emily Post Children’s Etiquette program. Our classes focus on the leadership and social/emotional intelligence skills needed to grow relationships by applying the underlying principles of etiquette: consideration, respect, and honesty. The modules are tailored to the developmental age of the group and can be individualized.

Our modules include:

  • Everyday Etiquette – From “May I please” and “Excuse me,” to handling RSVP’s promptly, this module includes manners that come up in everyday situations. Dressing to the occasion, grooming, eye contact, and poised/confident body language is included.
  • Communication – This module includes the important etiquette for oral, written, and electronic communication, including thank you notes. Phone, texting, and social media etiquette are included.
  • Manners at School – This module enhances friendship and social skills as children learn about manners in class, on the playground, with teachers, in the lunchroom, and with peers. Resolving conflict respectfully, making amends/repairing mistakes, and more is included.
  • Out and About – A focus on host and guest roles when visiting friends’ homes, relatives, and public places ensures children exude confidence and class when they’re out of their normal daily routines. How to become a charming, great conversationalist is included.
  • Table Etiquette – This module focuses on the table manners appropriate for each age group. Formal dining, sitting posture, appropriate conversation when dining, and more is included.
